BIO 
Born in the folds of Appalachia, I have always been drawn to the deep crevice mountains and valleys of those early years and then to the soft hills, ridges and water ways of my later years.
These unique experiences are the sources of my inspiration. I draw these sites with a simple line drawing on a small pad.
From these simple drawings come the paintings which are now set in a different context where I explore the feeling and mood I first felt when I was at the site. Hence, the colors are more expressive and the form more simplified - all to convey a certain peaceful, tranquil or joyful mood.

Exhibiting member of Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen.
Ms. Harris' work is seen in many corporate acquisitions and personal collections both here and abroad. Her paintings have also been included in various juried and invitational exhibits across the nation. Also as a working artist, she has been commissioned to produce paintings and graphics for numerous organizations and has been involved in an administration capability with many arts organizations and agencies.
